The Library is guided in its policies and operation by volunteer Board members. Board members are appointed by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo council for 1 to 3 year terms.

The Fort McMurray Public Library Board meets the third Wednesday of each month. Board meetings occur at the library and are open to the public. For more information about meetings or to apply to become a member contact the library at 780-743-7800.
