Interlibrary Loans PDF Print E-mail

If the books you want are not available at the Fort McMurray Public Library, staff will make every effort to obtain them from another lending institution.

  • Items usually arrive within 2 – 8 weeks
  • There is a 5 book maximum for interlibrary loan requests
  • Some restrictions apply to the type of materials that may be loaned
  • To access the interlibrary loan service you must be a member of the Fort McMurray Public Library

If you know the titles and authors of the items you would like to borrow, and they are not in the Fort McMurray Public Library's catalogue, click here for the Online interlibrary loan form.

If you are not sure of the titles and authors of the items you would like to borrow you can search the collections of Alberta libraries through TAL Online . By using TAL Online, you can search library collections by author, title, subject or keyword. When you find the items you’d like to borrow through interlibrary loan, note the library that owns the item. Then, when you fill out the online interlibrary loan form, you can fill in the authors, titles and library locations as found in TAL Online.
