Now, six self check stations
For more privacy and to avoid line ups at the counter, the library gives you access to the self check stations. The process for checking out books independently is easy and convenient using a touch screen and your library card. Self check stations are equipped with a receipt printer that will list the items you have signed out and specify the due dates.
Four self check stations are now equipped with unlocking devices, allowing patrons the ability to check out these materials without having to visit the Customer Service Desk. Users will be prompted to insert the DVD or CD case in the unlocking device after the checking out all materials at the Print Receipt / No Receipt screen.
History of the self check:
The Public Library Board and Staff would like to thank the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, the Government of Alberta and local MLA Guy Boutilier for supporting this project.
