What is a PIN?

A PIN is a Personal Identification Number that has been assigned to each member of the Fort McMurray Public Library. It will give you access to the following features when using the library catalogue:

• view and renew items you have on loan
• view items you have on hold
• review your name, address, phone number and membership expiry date
• change your PIN
• authenticate for database use
  

How do I know what my PIN is?

Your PIN is defaulted to the last four digits of your library barcode. We encourage you to change your PIN to a number that is easy for you to remember. To change your PIN, select the "Change PIN" option and enter the new PIN that you would like to use.

When do you enter your PIN?

To access your account from home or within the Library select My Account where you will be prompted to enter your Library Card Barcode and account PIN. If you have any questions or concerns with this process please contact the Library at 780-743-7800.
