About the program

 

The Summer Reading Incentive Program is designed to encourage children to read through the summer months. Reading through the school break has been proven to maintain and even improve reading levels, making the transition into a higher grade that much easier in the fall.

 

There is no registration fee for SRIP! Optional crafts and activities cost $2 each.

 

For each book a participant reads, they are eligible to enter our weekly prize draw. You can only enter the weekly draw once, but all other ballots for books read can be submitted towards the grand prize draw. 

 

 

 

For more information about this program, please contact the Children's Help Desk at 780-743-7804. Registration will take place on the main floor of the children's library on the following dates. After these dates participants may register at the Children's Help Desk.

 

Registration Dates:

Thursday, June 13     10:00-8:00

Friday, June 14          10:00-8:00

Saturday, June 15      10:00-4:30
